In our line of work, we get the great pleasure of meeting some amazing professionals working hard to create the dream day for brides and grooms around the North West. One such incredible individual is Lucy Smith. We love Lucy because she is just as passionate as we are about not only making your wedding day [...]
Styal Lodge is a beautiful bespoke wedding venue set in the peaceful national trust village of Styal, in the picturesque Cheshire countryside. Funk Soul Family had the pleasure of bringing the party helping to create the perfect wedding day for Anna and Dale. We loved performing two requests from Anna, the first dance and father of the bride dance. Check out the amazing review from the happy couple…
“We knew we were onto a good thing with Funk Soul Family when Pete suggested we come and watch the band at Hogans of Hale. They were incredible. We spent most of that evening dancing and the rest recording parts of their set for inclusion on our wedding playlist!
Come the wedding day, they blew away our already high expectations. Pete and the band had learned not only our first dance, but also few other obscurities which really helped made the day feel special. The band were brilliant throughout the evening and the dance floor was full for every moment they were playing. Their personalities and enthusiasm shone the night through and our wedding guests loved them!
We’ve been to a few weddings now since ours and at each one we never tired of hearing how our wedding band was so much better than whoever the current happy couple had the misfortune of booking! Funk Soul Family lit up Styal Lodge for us and we have no reservations in recommending they’d do the same for anyone else, anywhere.
We often find ourselves wishing we still lived close to Pete and the gang so we could gatecrash their wedding gigs and watch them in perform in bars across Manchester! We miss you FSF!”
